The market price for an athlete’s NIL value to any given school’s football program and associated collective can vary greatly depending on a number of factors, including the position of the player, the perceived skill level of the player, the current level of available funding from a collective, a football program’s current roster composition, the success or lack of success by a football program in a given transfer portal cycle, the speed at which a deal can be finalized, and the lack of a salary cap. In the aggregate, Winkler Sports has advised on over seven figures worth of compensation in athlete-collective deals.
